The company was incepted late 1999 and began to grow from the first release of its Men’s Shaving Oil. Since we have introduced several more lines through the need of our customers to provide additional quality products.
Valetudo has opted for a business philosophy of only releasing products that work, using only active ingredients instead of fillers. We have built the companies foundation based on quality products and have achieved and maintained an excellent reputation within the industry.
The company’s emphasis is to have innovative products that are generally aimed at the male grooming market. As part of our commitment to release only quality products, we actively compare our products to the competitor and continually improve our formulation and packaging to suit our customer needs.
Over time, we have trialed many marketing strategies from Cinema Advertising, Banners and stands at gift and Pharmacy fairs, Magazines and on TV adverting for Major networks, but have found that the most successful way of converting advertising dollars into sales, has been sampling the products.
Valetudo regularly samples products in strategic locations at different locations around Sydney and soon to start in Melbourne. We also give samples to the Shaver Shops Chain every month, to build your client base a to provide a win win, for all concerned.
We currently sample the Men’s shaving oil, Traditional pre-electric and Liquid ice shave cream gel, the Sensitive oil will be next to sample.
Our first and to date best selling product, namely the Men’s Shaving Oil was developed by the founder of the company ‘Brian Mooney’ in late 1999, in an endeavour to find a product that was aimed at the sensitive skin type and would leave the skin without redness and irritation from some foams he was using.
The first product was sold in a polished spun aluminum bottle and used a dripulator to regulate the required dosage for effective shaving. It was initially only sold at small pharmacy outlets.
The idea to expand to other markets and to widen the range followed after the sensational response from the customers who had purchased the product at these outlets around Sydney. |
